The SCHMETZ Gold Topstitch Needle has a Titanium Nitride coating. The wear protection coating is significantly harder than the standard coating and ensures an extra-long needle life. The Gold Topstitch has a slightly rounded point and an elongated eye providing less stress on the thread as it passes through the eye. The Gold Topstitch is useful for sewing with metallic, heavy, multiple, and poor-quality threads. Achieve perfectly straight and even stitches when using a straight-stitch needle plate.
